PThe Pollys to Gooram walk needs no introduction. It is arguably the defining walk in our extensive portfolio, possessing all of the features that make walking in the Strathbogie Ranges special. Meandering ponds, cascading falls, stunning granitic boulders and gorges, steep scrambles and friendly snakes to name just a few.
Over the years, we’ve built up quite a collection of walks across the Strathbogie Ranges. We have hard walk, easy walks, flat walks, steep walks, walks with hills, walks with gorges and everything in between. Some of our walks are easily accessible from public areas, meaning that anyone can drive up and do them. Others like this one are special. Walkers get to go to places they would normally never hear about, let along go to themselves.
Spring has once again sprung, and with it have emerged more walks around our great ranges. Emerging from our Summer hibernation, the SRCMN crew and enthusiastic group of walkers were back for another jaunt around a lost reserve of the Strathbogie Ranges. The Monea South Bushland Reserve is a small, landlocked reserve tucked away in Upton Hill. It is the definition of a lost reserve, being totally inaccessible to the public without knowing one of the adjoining landholders.
