Lost Reserves of the Strathbogie Ranges – Big Hill Reserve

Time & Date: 9:30am-2:30pm, Sunday the 12th of November 2023
Start/End Location: Faithfull Rd, Longwood East
Length: 3km
Difficulty: Easy
Bring: Food & water, a camera, a hat, sturdy shoes

Big Hill is one of our favourite places to walk. Close to the Hume Hwy with easy access and spectacular views, this walk is great for a quick, casual stroll.

As part of the Lost Reserves of the Strathbogie Ranges program, this walk will be more of a flora and fauna study than one of our traditional walks. Meeting on Faithfull Rd, we’ll traverse the short but steep ascent to the top of Big Hill. From here, attendees can disperse and explore the reserve looking for and documenting anything special or unique within the reserve. No car shuffle needed.

Please note that no pets are allowed on the walks. Reception may be limited, so save the locations in your phone before you leave home. As always, if the weather is looking unappealing on the day, the date may be moved.

RSVPs are essential, so please email us at admin@strathbogieranges.org
