Time & Date: 8:45am – 1:30pm, Saturday the 10th of April
Starting Location: Upton Rd, Upton Hill (GPS -36.885159, 145.426384)

Length: 5km

Our Riparian Walks are back. COVID swooped in and delayed the last two walks we had planned for 2020. It’s time to dust off our hiking boots and explore our local waterways once more.

The Wallaby Gulley Reserve isn’t on most people’s radar, but is surprisingly accessible. This walk will loop around the small but beautiful Wallaby Gully Nature Conservation Reserve.

Expect a moderately long walk (5km/up to 4.5hours) of moderate difficulty with bush bashing and multiple creek crossings to contend with. Hiking experience isn’t necessary, but an average level of fitness and mobility will be required. The walk difficulty will increase drastically if wet weather precedes it, or if it’s hot on the day. The walk route may be shortened to suit weather conditions.

Walkers will meet om the side of the road where the reserve meets Upton Rd. Walkers will need to take care parking on the side of the road, making sure not to obstruct traffic. From there, walkers will enter into the reserve following the creek, and complete a loop back to the cars to avoid the dreaded car shuffle.

Please note, no dogs or other pets are allowed.
