Euroa Arboretum Pollinator Day

Time & Date: 10:00am-3:00pm, Saturday the 12th of October
Location: Euroa Arboretum
Cost: Free

Join us for a day of discovery and fun at the Arb!

From 10am, learn about the rare and endangered Matchstick grasshopper with leading scientists Professor Michael Kearney, Professor of Bio Sciences and Professor Ary Hoffmann, Chair of Ecological Genetics and Biosciences for Melbourne Uni at the Shelter as they share how they’re rewilding the Arboretum with this incredible species.

Get creative with an all-day craft activity in the bush kinder area, where kids (and kids at heart) can make their own pollinator costumes and embody the insects that keep our ecosystems thriving.

Explore the Bug and Butterfly ID tent, or stop by the Birds and Pollination display to discover how birds play a vital role in pollinating your garden and forests. Learn all about bees—both native and honey—through interactive talks.

At 11:30am and again at 12:30pm, join Bronte for a wildflower tour and pollinator hunt in the grasslands. At 1:30pm, hear from Bertram Lobert about the fascinating world of moths and their role as essential pollinators.

Don’t miss the Pollinator Costume Parade at 2:30pm! It’s a day full of adventure, learning, and fun for all ages.
