Carole Hammond the Executive Officer of Goulburn Murray Climate Alliance will speak about the work of the alliance to assist communities and organisations adapt to or mitigate the effects of climate change.
The Climate Alliance works at scale and Carole will share some of the successes including Naturally Cooler Towns project and their collaboration with local governments and other organisations to achieve net zero greenhouse emissions.
Carole will talk about some of the innovative projects and research in the pipeline including a plan to address the Illegal removal of native vegetation in Victoria that undermines efforts to protect biodiversity.
Carole has worked and researched extensively within sustainability and climate change, with Masters degrees in heritage, environment and urban planning.
Laura Binks will speak about her current experiences in a climate leadership program and her reflections on motivation, inspiration and innovation.
Please come along if you need a bit of a climate lift and want to hear about what can be done and has been achieved.
Refreshments will be available from 10am in the shelter area at the Euroa Arboretum, Euroa Main Road, 76 Hume Fwy, Euroa VIC.
